Event Description:
North Hempstead’s Asian American Festival is a beach-front gala of food, folk art, and cultural performances from China, India, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the Philippines. The event is likely to draw a crowd of thousands and feature Japanese Taiko Drumming, traditional Chinese lion dancers, Indian Henna tattooing, and Korean traditional games, as well as a lively market, arts and crafts, and a selection of delicious cuisine from local restaurants.
